Naturopathy
The bedrock of naturopathy is the empowering belief that your body has an innate capacity to heal itself from diseases or injury. Naturopathy operates in a paradigm of no surgery and no medicines, simply harnessing the power of nature to heal the body and keep it fit. The power of nature refers to the air, water, sun and food that is as close to its natural form as possible. A correct diet, in fact, is the foundation of Naturopathy; if there were to be a slogan for this system it would be “you are what you eat”. Exercise is also a very important component. Diet and exercise are supplemented by massages, physical therapies, giving the person a vital energy from the sunlight or giving the person the nourishing and healing qualities of the earth (mud baths) or water (through regulated immersions or other form of hydrotherapy).
