Necessary Elective Surgeries

An elective surgery is a planned, non-emergency surgical procedure.Elective surgeries may extend life or improve the quality of life physically and/or psychologically. However, unlike emergency surgery (e.g., appendectomy), which must be performed immediately, a required elective procedure can be scheduled at the patient's and surgeon's convenience.As a complete list of  all necessary surgeries would be quite exhaustive, we have classified them into broadly nine categories viz. minimal access surgeries, heart care, bone and joint care, women care, organ transplant, eye care, dental care,cancer care and brain and spine care.
