Step 1: Familiarization with Medical Tourism

Find the details about the medical/surgical procedure you wish to undergo from your physician/surgeon or the material given in our website or through the external website links mentioned in relevant sections of our website. Step 2: Evaluation of medical travel options
Evaluate all the medical travel options available in the world on the parameters of quality, safety and affordability and compare it with ‘Indian option’ if you wish, taking relevant inputs from our website.

Having taken decision to move forward with Meditrips India, please contact us along with a synopsis of your medical problem to initiate the consultation process. The CPC ( Care Program Coordinator ) of Meditrips India would get in touch with you to answer your preliminary queries and guide you further through the medical evaluation process.
Step 5: Medical evaluation process
Based on the information sent by you, your medical condition would be evaluated. You would be required to send additional information or diagnostic test reports, if required to carry out a comprehensive evaluation. At this stage of evaluation, if needed for further clarifications, there could also be a two-way, email/phone /video conference based communication between you and the concerned doctor.
A pre-procedure consultation would be arranged on the same day or next day with your doctor/surgeon to evaluate your physical condition. This would help the doctor to make any further recommendation based on your physical condition that could not be identified in your medical info/diagnostic test reports sent earlier.
Step 6: Recommended treatment options
After completion of your medical evaluation by our medical specialists, the details of the recommended treatment options would be sent to you. You could seek further clarifications at this stage to take an informed decision.
Step 7: Medical Travel Package Quote
After receiving the quote, tailor made to meet your needs, you would have a fair idea about the cost involved and it’s the time to set in motion the process of arranging the required finances. If insured, you could seek clarifications from your health insurance provider regarding reimbursement of cost of procedure you plan to undergo. Many leading insurance companies of the world like CIGNA, Aetna, BUPA International, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, etc are now covering the medical procedures carried out in Indian hospitals.
Step 8: Arrangement of finances
The CPC will then prepare a quote for the customized medical travel package after taking relevant inputs from you regarding information about travel companions, preferences for hospitals, accommodation, etc.
Step 9: Passport and medical visa

Step 10: Confirmation of Medical Travel Plan
Once you take a final decision about your medical travel plan, we will request you to remit 30% of the total package amount to enable us to proceed with the provisional bookings of hospital room/surgeon, hotel/service apartment and other associated arrangements. Step 11: Arrival in India
Whilst you are preparing to leave for India the CPC will be in touch with you to guide you on any aspect of your travel itinerary. On arrival you would be received by the CPC, who had been coordinating with you till then and taken to your chosen accommodation.
Step 12: Pre-procedure stage
A pre-procedure consultation would be arranged on the same day or next day with your doctor/surgeon to evaluate your physical condition. This would help the doctor to make any further recommendation based on your physical condition that could not be identified in your medical info/diagnostic test reports sent earlier.
Step 13: Admission to Hospital
The CPC would get all the documents ready and make the associated arrangements for your admission to the hospital. Though the care given at our affiliated hospitals is very meticulous and thoughtful, your CPC would take care of your any other personal needs on day-to-day basis till your discharge from the hospital.
Step 14: Post-procedure recovery
When you move to your chosen accommodation after discharge from the hospital, the CPC would arrange for nursing care and physiotherapy for your recovery and rehabilitation. We do not recommend additional rejuvenation packages for our guest patients at this stage as adequate rest and precautionary measures for diet and physical movements are very crucial in the recovery process. Step 15: Back Home
After having recovered, rejuvenated and got recharged, you return back home to spread cheer and deep sense of relief amongst your loved ones. |
